1. After-sales policy: Remakes, exchanges, and refunds
To request a remake, refund, or exchange, the following steps need to be followed:
Contact Dog Leap Boots via info@dogleapboot.com to raise your enquiry.
Outline your concern, providing details of your order including order number and name.
Dog Leap Boots will take appropriate action within 72 hours.
2. The following conditions apply for the refund or remake:
You must complain about your order within 30 days after delivery.
Costs will only be reimbursed if you provide a real invoice within 30 days after delivery.
All products returned should be in an unworn and resellable condition.
3. The following conditions apply for the remakes:
The new product will be the same as the original one.
The original shoes should be returned to our quality control team at HQ.
Customers are responsible for return shipping charges.
Dog Leap Boots Co reserves the right to deny remakes in circumstances where our professionals consider that boot construction is the most suitable option, the products are not in perfect condition and the customer does not cooperate with the information requested for the new remake.
Due to the fact that every pair is 100% individually custom-made and handcrafted just for you, we do not offer refunds on our Design Your Own or Bespoke collections. Any pair created with a monogram inscription will be non-returnable. This is standard practice for custom-made products as there is no resale value.
Other brands (or suppliers) assemble their ‘handmade’ boots from bought in parts. They use a manufacturing process, simply putting the parts together by hand, rather than handmaking them. Please Google any of these other more expensive brands (or suppliers) and ask them about their process(es).
Unlike other more expensive ‘handmade’ boots, Dog Leap boots come with leather heel stiffeners and toepuffs (between the lining and upper).
Soaked for days in water pulled from our own Tyne river, then skived thinly around the edges and left to dry naturally around the last for 3 days to produce a boot that moulds directly to your foot.
Footwear these days are made with plastic toepuffs and stiffeners and lasted using heat and machinery to ‘last’ or pull the leather over the last. The plastic is dead, and will never mould to the exact shape of your foot.
One foot 8½, one foot 10½, it doesn’t matter to us, we’ll hand craft your boots to fit. If alterations to standard sizing or patterns (style) are required, please contact us and we can discuss your requirements. Same thing for bigger sizes. Dog Leap boots are an individual, custom made product and thats what we’ll craft for you.
We handcraft everything in-house, and keep all stock in-house. Because of this we can currently crack on and get your handmade boots completed and delivered in 8-10 weeks.
